Day 1. Arrival in Ulan Bator city
Upon arrival in Ulan Bator, you will be greeted by your guide and driver. Transfer to Novotel***** hotel Novotel. Extra breakfast. After breakfast, we have city tour by visiting Sukh Bator Square with the monument of Chinggis Khan, Gandantegchleng Monastery and Mongolian National Museum. Lunch. Visit to Bogd Khan Winter Palace and Museum. Dinner. Overnight stay in Novotel***** hotel. (B/L/D)
Day 2. “Gorkhi-Terelj” National Park / Chinggis Khan Statue Complex
In the morning, transfer to Gorkhi-Terelj National Park. See a giant Turtle Rock and hiking to Ariyapala Meditation Temple museum. After lunch, drive to Chinggis Khan Statue Complex. Visit to Chinggis Khan Statue Complex and drive back to Ulan Bator. Dinner. Overnight stay in Novotel***** hotel. (B/L/D) (160 km)
Day 3. UB city – Kharkhorin and Erdenezuu Monastery
After breakfast, we will drive to Kharkhorin soum, the site of the ancient capital of the Great Mongolian Empire. The city served as the Mongolian Capital for only 40 years ( until Khubilai Khaan moved it to what is no Beijing). Most of the city was later destroyed by Chinese soldiers during the second half of 14 th century. And the remains of the city were used to build Erdenezuu Monastery in the 16 th century. On the way, we have lunch in a local ger restaurant near Elsen Tasarkhai. Arrive at ger camp near Kharkhorin and visit to Erdnezuu Monastery which was the first Buddhist Monastery in Mongolia. Day 4. Kharkhorin – Tsenkher Hot Springs
After breakfast, visit to Kharkhorin Museum. Drive to Tsenkher hot Springs. Lunch. Enjoy a natural hot bath. Dinner. (B/L/D) (120 kms)
Day 5. Tsenkher Hot Springs – Khustai National Park
After early breakfast, drive to Khustai National Park. On the way, we have lunch in a local restaurant. Arrive in Khustai National Park. Drive deep into the National Park to see the last wild horses in the world “Takhi” and the Przewalski horse. And the visitors can see deer, Mongolian gazelles. After drive back to the ger camp, you can see local museum about Takhi and Khustai national Park’ s flora and fauna. (B/L/D) (420 kms)
Day 6. Khustai National Park – UB city
Day 7. UB – Fly to Dalanzadgad/ Yol Valley/ Khongor Sand Dunes
Fly to Dalanzadgad in the morning and meet local drivers upon arrival. Drive to Yol Valley. (50 km) Excursion to Yol (Larnmergeyer) Valley for morning trek. After excursion, lunch on the way to Khongor Sand Dunes at Khanbogd ger camp. Then drive to Khongor Sand Dunes. (180 km). Check in to the ger camp. Have a relaxed afternoon. Dinner. (BIL/D)
Day 8. Khongor Sand Dunes/Bayanzag (160 km)
After breakfast, excursion to Khongor Sand Dunes, stretching 180 km at the foot of Gobi Gurvan Saikhan Mountain range. After lunch head to Bayanzag, the Flaming Cliffs and explore the Cemetery of Dinosaurs and the trail of Roy Chapman Andrews, an American Natural Museum&’s explorer. See the Saxaul tree of the Gobi. Visit to Nomadic family. Dinner and overnight in ger camp. (B/L/D)
Day 9. Bayanzag – UB
After early breakfast, fly back to Ulan Bator. Upon arrival in Ulan tsator, visit to Zaisan Hill to have a city view. Lunch. After lunch, check in Novotel***** hotel. Leisure time. Enjoy Mongolian Folklore concert at 6 pm in the National Grand Theatre. Dinner. overnight in Novotel***** hotel. (B/L/D)
Day 10. Departure
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for international departure. (B)
